The Brazilian Butt lift is a two-in-one procedure for body contouring and buttock shaping. To improve the shape of the buttocks, fat is transferred from the abdomen, love handles, and waist using gentle liposuction. The end result is a slimmer, more sculpted body with a lovely S-shaped curve
Patients have referred to Dr. Kwak as “an artist” because of his keen eye for aesthetic detail and ability to produce dramatic, natural-looking, yet not “overdone” results. He has performed hundreds of aesthetic and body contouring procedures every year for the last decade in Bryn Mawr and the Philadelphia area.
He is an internationally recognized expert in minimally invasive venous and cosmetic surgical techniques. He frequently guest lectures for both the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, where he is a member and the American College of Phlebology.
With small nicks in the skin, no stitches, and a tiny injection cannula, the Brazilian Butt Lift is a minimally invasive procedure. Local anesthesia is used in the same way that it is in a dentist’s office. The recovery period is relatively short, with most patients returning to work within four days.
There are a series of steps that are involved during the 2-hour procedure:
We want you to be at ease and have the best possible experience. That’s why we take the time to explain what to expect both before and after your procedure. Our patients are closely monitored for up to a year after surgery at regular follow-up appointments.
The recovery process for Brazilian Butt Lift is fairly short. Most people only need to take 3 – 4 days off from work and the most common side effects are mild associated discomfort and bruising. A compression garment will need to be worn over the areas where the fat was taken for 1 month. The buttocks will fluctuate in size for a few weeks as things settle and full results are typically seen after 3 – 4 months. In many cases, results of fat transfers can last indefinitely once the fat has settled because it is now a part of you living in a new area. Keep in mind, though, that fat transfers do not protect against future aging and patients may notice results slightly diminish over time.
